Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Engineer in Residence Lecture

Gerald Miller, a WSU College of Engineering alum, will present the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Engineer in Residence Lecture at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex, entrance C. The lecture is titled "Multidisciplinary Education: The Key to A Successful Engineering Career." Admission is free.

A multidisciplinary education for engineers is important. This lecture will focus on how a multidisciplinary education from WSU prepared Miller for a 46-plus year career as an engineer from test driving a Lunar Roving Vehicle to being a stand-in for Apollo astronauts to safety design for cruise passengers. In addition, he plans to share a few personal experiences and stories such as a secret spacecraft sold to a movie studio.
