Ignore 'phishing' e-mail requests

Yesterday, (Monday, April 14), an e-mail was sent to an unknown number of WSU e-mail addresses. The e-mail states that each person must reply with a supplied link/URL and provide personal e-mail logon information. This is an example of "phishing," a process that attempts to obtain personal information by posing as some authoritative source. Do not respond to this false request. No one from WSU was connected with that e-mail. While WSU has technical support teams of various types, they will never make such a request for personal information through e-mail. Specific questions may be directed to the WSU Helpdesk @ 978-HELP.
