* Faculty and staff are invited to listen to an online interview from noon-1 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 22) in the Media Resources Center ITV classroom. The interview features Maryellen Weimar, editor of "The Teaching Professor" newsletter, and Michael Newman, author of the book "Teaching Defiance: Stories and Strategies for Activist Educators."

* Celebrate WSU's research and creative accomplishments at the 2008 Shocker Scholars Festival from 2-3:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 22) in the lower level of Ablah Library. This year's featured faculty lecturer is Robert Owens with a lecture at 2:30 p.m.

* Kansas Lt. Gov. Mark Parkinson will take part in a panel discussion titled "Green Energy Options In Kansas" on Earth Day, at 6 p.m. today (April 22) in 209 Hubbard Hall. The event will be simulcast on WSUiR at http://wsuir.wichita.edu.

* Gerald Miller, a WSU College of Engineering alum, will present the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Engineer in Residence Lecture at 7 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 22) in the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex, entrance C.

* The Registered Student Organization Advisors Workshop and Training Session will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Armstrong/Foley Conference Room, Woodman Alumni Center.
