The Council of University Women will hold its annual Scholarship Bash from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 23) in the third floor Rhatigan Student Center ballroom. This year's theme is "Strolling the Midway," and lunch, carnival games, a cakewalk, basket sales and silent auction will be featured. Special items up for grabs in the silent auction include an autographed picture of Kansas City Chiefs #88 -- Tony Gonzalez -- as well as a variety of tickets to area events, gift certificates to area merchants and restaurants, handcrafted items and more. The auction will close at 1 p.m., so get there early to bid early and often. All proceeds go to fund scholarships.
