Pianist and associate professor Paul Reed will present a faculty artist recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. He will retire in June after teaching at WSU for 42 years and performing more than 150 solo and collaborative recitals and concerts. His upcoming recital will include compositions by Alkan, D. Scarlatti, Handel, Schumann and Liszt, and the seldom performed "Hexameron, Grand Bravura Variations for the Piano on the March from Bellini's 'I Puritan,' composed for the concert of the Princess Belgioso for the benefit of the poor by Liszt, Thalberg, Pixis, Herz, Czerny and Chopin."
