Services for James William Kelley
In fall 1982, He was named dean of University College at WSU. He remained at WSU for 25 years, serving in several positions, during which time he published numerous articles in the area of student success.
In 2010, Kelley began showing signs of Lewy Body Dementia. The symptoms slowly increased until he was unable to stand, speak or grasp anything with his hands. However, he never lost his ability to show agape love to everyone who visited. As Jim once said, "I believe I was put on this earth to help human beings accomplish what they want to accomplish."
A memorial service for Kelley was held in Seattle this month, and there will be another memorial service for him at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at University Congregational Church, 9209 E. 29th St. in 成人头条.
In lieu of flowers, Kelley requested friends and family support causes important to him -- The Ballard Food Bank: www.ballardfoodbank.org, 5130 Leary Ave. NW Seattle, WA 98107; and Chamber Music at the Barn: www.cmatb.org, 4055 N. Tyler Rd. Maize, KS 67101.
