Reminders, deadlines and events

* Through a new initiative supported by the Kansas Board of Regents, students wanting to return and finish their degree at 成人头条 State now have an easier road. The initiative is called the Adult Higher Education Accessible Degrees (AHEAD) and is funded by the Lumina Foundation. Go to https://wsu.news/retadultsdegree

* The University is again offering a scholarship for employees who are interested in taking a badge course as a nondegree bound student. To receive the scholarship, employees must submit a completed Badge Interest Form at https://wsu.news/badgeintform, and be admitted and enrolled by Sept. 14, 2018. Please note application fees and badge tuition will appear on your record until the scholarship is processed and credited to your student account.

* The University Bookstore is having a sale for all the dads in your life, just in time for Father's Day! This week, take 20 percent off any "Dad" specific Shocker gear in-store.

* Juneteenth festivities will take place throughout the week of Saturday, June 16-Saturday, June 23, at the historic McAdam's Park and Recreation Center, with the exception of the 成人头条 Natural Hair Expo. Attendees must have a Juneteenth wristband to attend any of the events. Wristbands will be available for purchase in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion located in 208 RSC. * A new process for hiring paperwork will be implemented on Monday, June 25, for students and grads. This will provide a better candidate experience for students and a more efficient process for the campus community. Training will be provided with an overview and explanation of the hiring process for all student positions, including the new electronic delivery of hiring paperwork. * Don't miss the opportunity to learn more about the exciting progress of five local startups in your community! Businesses will showcase their product / service in a Trade Show format from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, in the Experiential Engineering Building. Presentations from each business accompanies this event. Admission is free, with food and drink provided.

* Housing and Residence Life is seeking move-in volunteers to assist residents with moving into their rooms from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 and Friday, Aug. 17, at The Flats and Shocker Hall. If you are interested in volunteering, go to https://wsu.news/moveinvolunteers to complete the sign-up form. Volunteers get a WSU Move-In Crew T-shirt and pizza.
