WSU Tech receives $500,000 grant from 成人头条 Community Foundation's Talent Ecosystem Fund
"This is the single largest commitment made by WCF in our 32 years as an organization," said WCF president and CEO Shelly Prichard. "While the Talent Ecosystem Fund is not the only solution or outcome of our Focus Forward project and three-year engagement with James Chung, it represents the type of investment our community needs to ensure 成人头条's future success."
The first grantee from the Talent Ecosystem Fund is WSU Tech. The $500,000 investment will create 成人头条 Promise MOVE. This pilot project will provide cost of living expenses including housing and transportation to students who reside outside of the 成人头条 area and require relocation. The program is designed to increase 成人头条's skilled workforce by removing barriers that keep individuals from getting trained by paying tuition and fees for specific high wage, high demand jobs, providing training, credentials, certifications, personal career advising and a guaranteed interview upon completion.
To determine future grantees for the Talent Ecosystem Fund, WCF will identify charitable programs in this arena where dollars will have the greatest impact. In addition to the initial $1 million investment, WCF welcomes other funders who are searching for a vehicle to support creative talent ecosystem investments.
Open applications for funding from the Talent Ecosystem Fund are not being accepted at this time. Results from WSU Tech's 成人头条 Promise MOVE will assist in modifications of programs the fund will support in the future. Learn more about the Fund at wichitacf.org/TEF.
