Water service shutdown to affect Ahlberg Hall Friday afternoon

A water service shutdown will affect Ahlberg Hall for Friday afternoon, June 29, starting at noon. Restrooms, water fountains, kitchenette and service sinks will be out of service that afternoon in Ahlberg. Maintenance staff has found numerous local fixture isolation valves that have degraded over time and are inoperable and preventing isolation to fixtures that need service.

If all goes well, it is hoped the work can come to a speedier conclusion than planned, but the full afternoon of water service shutdown should be anticipated. The shutdown will affect Ahlberg alone, so restrooms and water fountains will be in service in other nearby campus buildings.
