Current position descriptions required for pay study

The Topeka Division of Personnel Services (DPS) requires that all classified employees have a current position description (defined as being more recent than June 30, 2006) in order to begin the classification process for the Pay Commission. A current organizational chart for each department is also required. A memo was sent April 28, to remind those in Group 1 that their position descriptions must be turned in to Libby Gilbert no later than May 16. The deadline for Groups 2 and 3 are expected to follow a couple of weeks after that. Late position descriptions will not be accepted by DPS, and funding will be cut to $7.38/hour for each position without a current position description.
