WSU bowler wins silver medal at World Youth Championships

Shocker Bowling senior Jacob Peters, representing Junior Team USA at the World Youth Championships in Helsinki, Finland, has won the silver medal in the doubles division with partner Devin Bidwell.

Gold went to another American pair, Andrew Koff and Craig Hanson. The only other medal so far for the United States came from the girl鈥檚 singles division, with Brittani Hamilton winning the silver.

The next competition for Peters is the team event, which takes place through Friday, July 30.

The World Youth Championships are held every two years. This year, 46 countries are traveling from around the world to compete in one of the most prestigious international youth tournaments.
