The School of Music has a new faculty blog that is picking up speed among faculty users, said Nicolasa Kuster, assistant professor of bassoon.
New this semester, the blog is designed so that faculty can simply write their posts as an e-mail.
鈥淧osts will celebrate our artistic excellence,鈥 said Kuster, 鈥渂y acknowledging student, faculty and successful alumni activities, honors and events as they occur.鈥
It鈥檚 an inside look at the myriad activities and opportunities available for both current and future students and faculty in the School of Music.
Current postings from such faculty members as Kuster, Robert Glasmann, Guy Vollen, Katherine Murdock, Harold Popp, Dorothy Crum and Tom Wine include updates on the careers of three music alumni; two compositions honored or premiered; notes and photos of what the Lieurance Woodwind Quintet got up to in a recent Garden City residency; and photos of voice performance students in Florence, Italy, for the Canta in Italia program.
