The WSU A Cappella Choir, Women鈥檚 Choir and special guest choir, Tabor College Concert Choir, will present 鈥淎 KMEA Preview鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, in Wiedemann Recital Hall.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students, with other discounts available.
Every year, WSU invites regional choirs to share the Wiedemann stage as those choirs prepare for a performance at the Kansas Music Educator Association (KMEA) state conference held in 成人头条. This year, the Tabor College Concert Choir, under the direction of Brad Vogel, has been invited.
鈥淭he Tabor College Choir has appeared at the state conference on several occasions,鈥 said Tom Wine, WSU voice professor. 鈥淭hey always present a program of musically diverse, challenging and entertaining repertoire.鈥Two WSU choirs will open the program. The WSU A Cappella Choir, directed by Wine, has prepared songs ranging from Mozart to Gospel.
The WSU Women鈥檚 Choir (Las Voces Dulces), directed by WSU professor John Paul Johnson, has been invited to present a session at the state KMEA conference to demonstrate teaching musicality in the choral rehearsal.
The women will sing three songs they prepared for that session.
