Succession planning
The number of baby boomers in executive positions points to sharply rising national trends of leadership transitions taking place at nonprofits. This trend has serious sustainability implications for these organizations.
Planning for the succession of an executive director or other key leadership is difficult to consider but critical to sustaining your organization鈥檚 mission and outcomes.
The workshop will provide an introduction, 鈥淪uccession Basics: Emergency Backup Plan and Succession Policy.鈥
CCSR staff members Kevin Bomhoff and Sam Demel will be the workshop presenters. Bomhoff is a licensed master social worker with 30 years of experience serving Kansans in a variety of management and leadership roles. Demel brings 20 years of nonprofit experience.
'High-impact nonprofits'
Another free Compassion Kansas workshop is set for Wednesday, Nov. 9. The workshop, "Creating High-Impact Nonprofits," will connect guests to the six practices of high-impact nonprofit organizations identified in Forces for Good.
Participants will understand the research found in Forces for Good, apply the Six Practices of High-Impact Nonprofits to their own organizations, create a plan of action and explore possibilities for collaboration with other participants.
