成人头条鈥檚 Symphony Orchestra will host 鈥淎n Evening with Samuel Ramey,鈥� featuring the international opera star and WSU alumnus, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center.
Proceeds from this special event will go toward the 成人头条 State Orchestra Touring Fund. General admission is $7 (discounts available), and free for WSU students at the box office with ID.
The performance will feature four arias from Ramey鈥檚 most famous role: Mephistopheles in Goethe's 鈥淔aust.鈥� The critically acclaimed bass will sing selections from Boito's 鈥淢efistofele,鈥� Berlioz鈥� 鈥淭he Damnation of Faust,鈥� Gounod's 鈥淔aust鈥� and Stravinsky's 鈥淭he Rake's Progress.鈥�
The orchestra will also perform Saint-Saens' 鈥淐arnival of the Animals鈥� with Ramey serving as narrator.
Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Box Office from noon-5 p.m. weekdays in the lobby of Duerksen Fine Arts Center at 成人头条 State. The box office will be also be open one hour before the performance.
