成人头条 President John Bardo will award alumna Ruth David the President's Medal at the 2014 Fall Commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Charles Koch Arena.
David left her family鈥檚 Kansas farm to study electrical engineering at 成人头条 State, graduating in 1975 before earning her master鈥檚 and doctorate degrees at Stanford University. From there, David went on to an illustrious career in public service and was inducted into Women in Technology International鈥檚 2010 Hall of Fame.
David鈥檚 career has been focused on national security, intelligence and homeland security, with emphasis on the application of systems thinking and strategies for resilience. She also analyzes the effects of globalization on science and technology enterprises.
From 1995-1998, David served as the deputy director for science and technology at the CIA. Since then, she has worked as president and CEO of Analytic Services Inc., a nonprofit corporation that provides independent research and analytic services to public sector clients in the national security, homeland security and public safety. In addition, she serves on several governmental, educational and nonprofit advisory bodies.
David is the co-author of three books on signal processing algorithms and has authored or co-authored numerous scientific papers.
