WSU Ventures seeks technologies that benefit women and families for InnovateHer competition

WSU Ventures at 成人头条 is seeking Kansas entrepreneurs, inventors and researchers with technologies that have the potential to improve the lives of women and families for a chance at up to $70,000 in cash prizes.

WSU Ventures will host the first Kansas InnovateHer competition Nov. 13. Innovators with products and services that have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families, have a high-potential for commercialization, fill a need in the marketplace and have a commercialization timeline of less than 18 months are encouraged to apply.

The deadline to submit an application for the competition is Tuesday, Oct. 27. The winning technology will advance to the national competition for a chance at up to $70,000 in cash. The national competition is sponsored by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Microsoft.

WSU Ventures will select 10 finalists to pitch their ideas to a panel of local judges on Nov. 13, and the winner will participate in the National InnovateHER semifinal round. Local finalists will be eligible for assistance through WSU Ventures, the Center for Entrepreneurship and other WSU centers and institutes.

The national competition will be held in Washington in March 2016.
