Shocker Nation takes Tulsa, spreads word of new tuition program

成人头条's Office of Admissions loaded up a bus Thursday, Jan. 14, with admissions representatives, students and WuShock to spread the word about the Shocker City Partnership to high school and community college students in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Shocker City Partnership is a new tuition discount program that makes it possible for residents of the Tulsa and Oklahoma City metropolitan areas to attend 成人头条 State for the same cost as Kansas residents. More information on the discount program is available at .

The number of students admitted to WSU from Oklahoma is nearly 40 percent higher than it was a year ago at this time.

The WSU team visited two local Tulsa high schools and Tulsa Community College. The day ended with an event at Freddy's Frozen Custard in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Free custard was provided to the student attendees, as well as giveaways and an opportunity to take pictures with WuShock.

Shocker City Partnership applies to residents in 18 Oklahoma counties: Canadian, Cherokee, Cleveland, Creek, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington.
