Three 成人头条 researchers have been awarded the John A. See Innovation Award, totaling $60,000.
The winners are Shuang Gu, Anil Mahapatro and Pu Wang.
Gu, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, won for his research project, 鈥淭urning Air to Ammonia Under Ambient Conditions for Green and Sustainable Agriculture.鈥
An assistant biomedical engineering professor, Mahapatro鈥檚 winning research project is titled 鈥淏iodegradable Metallic Cardiovascular Stent.鈥
And Wang, assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer science, won for his project, 鈥淪KYNET: A Smart Swarming Drone System for Rapid and Reliable Communications Services.鈥
The John A. See Awards began in 2014 after See donated $1 million to provide prizes to WSU faculty and students conducting outstanding research or producing other significant work.
See was director of flight test and prototype development at Boeing until his retirement in 1985. Although not a 成人头条 State alumnus, he has been a generous WSU supporter who values the importance of higher education and believes in WSU鈥檚 commitment to growth and pioneering work.
In 2011, he created the John A. See Engineering Scholarship.
