'All Loves Excelling' continues holiday tradition, joins WSU choirs

  • The 54th annual Candlelight Concert, 鈥淎ll Loves Excelling,鈥 is at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 2-3, and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in Wiedemann Concert Hall.
  • The concert will feature WSU鈥檚 Concert Chorale, Women鈥檚 Glee Club, A Cappella Choir and Madrigal Singers.

成人头条 choirs continue holiday traditions with the 54th annual Candlelight Concert, 鈥淎ll Loves Excelling,鈥 at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 2-3, and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in Wiedemann Concert Hall.

The concert will feature a variety of music in the spirit of the season with favorites, 鈥淏eautiful Savior鈥 and 鈥淧ersonent Hodie.鈥 Other highlights include 鈥淗ope for Resolution鈥 by Caldwell and Ivory and 鈥淎ve Maria鈥 by Franz Biebl.

WSU鈥檚 Concert Chorale and Women鈥檚 Glee Club will perform conducted by Michael Hanawalt, director of choral activities, along with the A Cappella Choir and Madrigal Singers conducted by Tom Wine, program director of music education.

Each choir will perform individually, as well as together as a massed choir. Also featured will be organist Lynne Davis, Robert L. Town faculty of distinction.

Modeled after the famous St. Olaf College Christmas Festival, the Candlelight Concert is the longest-running musical tradition at 成人头条 State.

Tickets can be purchased at the Fine Arts Box Office in the lobby of the Duerksen Fine Arts Center or online at . General admission is $12, with $10 discount tickets available for seniors, faculty/staff and military or $6 tickets for children and students.
