: Student Services truly lives up to its name. Whether it鈥檚 a question about advising, technical issues or student life, their services have you covered.

Parking & Shuttle Services: passes are available for $150 a year or $75 a semester through the WSU parking website. You can also take advantage of the free WSU Shuttle System, and park at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 29th Street.

Dining Options and Hours: Grab a bite to eat at one of the many campus available. Shocker Dining Hall hours are available online, along with a list of other restaurants located in the Rhatigan Student Center. 成人头条 State also has plenty of caffeine options for coffee connoisseurs. The campus hosts two Starbucks locations as well as the Groundhouse, which now serves Reverie Coffee. There is also a new off-campus coffee shop, Fairmount Coffee Co.

Office of Diversity and Inclusion: 成人头条 State is one of the most diverse campuses in Kansas, and the works hard to cultivate and sustain an inclusive campus environment. Keep an eye out for any of ODI鈥檚 events, they鈥檙e held throughout the year!

Registration: (enrollment) can be an exciting time for students. It involves picking out your classes, creating a new schedule and basically planning your next five months. Registration is done online, and begins in November for the spring semester and April for the summer and fall semester.

Academic Calendar: From the first day of class to fall break and all the way to graduation, the will help you keep track of these important dates and more.

Rhatigan Student Center Hours: The is open 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m.-12 a.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-12 a.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m.-9 p.m. Sunday for all your student center needs. Hours for individual departments within the RSC may differ, so make sure to check the website before making a trip.

  • Lords and Ladys: has been on campus for over 20 years, and offers students a convenient place to get haircuts, perms and color. The salon is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-3 p.m. 
  • WSU Bookstore: From Shocker swag to books and study tools, the university has everything a student needs to start out the year. 
  • Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes: is a great place to relax and have fun with your friends and family. Bowling, billiards, darts, video games, parties, tournaments, food and fun can ALL be found in the lower level of the Rhatigan Student Center at 成人头条. 

Ablah Library: is the perfect place to work on homework or study with friends. Students can rent out study rooms, or can make their way to the third floor to work in silence in the Quiet Zone. The library is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to midnight, Friday 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-9 p.m. For students looking to pull an all-nighter, there鈥檚 a 24 hour study room.

Writing Center: The , located on the sixth floor of Lindquist Hall, room 601, can help with brainstorming, revisions and sentence, grammatical or punctuation errors. They will not edit or proofread your work, but they鈥檒l give you the tools to write the best paper possible.

Supplemental Instruction: (SI) is an international program developed to assist students with learning material in traditionally difficult classes. Not quite grasping that chemistry lecture? Your SI Leader will help tutor you and your peers, and will share the strategies they used to be successful. Best of all, it鈥檚 completely free.

Student Involvement: is the best way to get the most out of your college experience at 成人头条 State. Whether you want to be in a student organization, develop leadership skills, participate in community service, plan campus events or join a Greek organization, Student Involvement will help you get to where you want to be.

Shocker Food Locker: The is a free food pantry open for any Shocker, student or faculty, who faces food insecurity. The locker is located in Grace Wilkie, room 103, and is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Counseling and Testing Center: The provides services like personal counseling, testing services, ACT Prep Workshops and therapies.

Office of Student Success: The helps students maximize their academic potential and reach their personal goals.

: WSU's first is open south of the RSC. The four-level garage includes student, faculty/staff, disabled, motorcycle and reserved spots.

YMCA: Starting Monday, Aug. 21, all fee-paying 成人头条 State students will have a single adult membership to all nine Greater 成人头条 locations included as part of the student activity fee. The Y membership will be effective as long as students are enrolled and paying student fees at WSU. Just bring your Shocker ID to the YMCA front desk to get started.

Tobacco Free Campus: 成人头条 and all of its satellite locations and WSU-owned properties are now . The new campus policy eliminates the use of any tobacco product, including cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco, hookah and electronic cigarettes.

Conceal and Carry: On July 1, all Kansas universities were mandated to allow of handguns. Possession of other weapons and the open carry of firearms are prohibited. Safety is the No. 1 priority at WSU, and our goal is to work together to ensure that the entire campus community has the tools necessary to understand the law and how to maintain responsibility and personal safety.

American Athletic Conference: 成人头条 is now a member of the . While this move to a Power 6 conference is an obvious upgrade for Shocker athletics, it is important to understand that the conference change is at least as much about positioning the university as an innovative academic and research institution as it is about athletics. We've used athletic success as a catalyst for improving student life and enhancing 成人头条鈥檚 growth and prosperity.

Chartwells Food Contract: Chartwells, the for 成人头条 State, is bringing new, healthier dining options for students. The RSC is now home to two new restaurants, Mondo Subs and Sono. The Groundhouse is also serving local Reverie Coffee.

Welcomefest
: is two weeks of informational activities, free food and fun put on by various student groups and campus departments. For this year's Welcomefest schedule, check out the link. 

  • Clash of the Colleges: This annual event includes inflatables, relay races, water balloons, team sports and a to determine who rules the school. Come by yourself or with a group of other new students for a night of fun! 
  • Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: Join in at this annual event to bring . Men will walk in high heels while women are encouraged to walk the mile in tennis shoes. 
  • Back to School Bash: This serves to welcome new and returning students to Shocker Nation. The event will have inflatables, food, live music, carnival games and prizes. This year, the first 1,000 students in attendance will get a free B2SB T-shirt. 

Shocktoberfest: has been 成人头条 State鈥檚 annual celebration of Shocker spirit and pride since 1991. This week-long series features events, programs and competitions coordinated by Student Involvement with the support of multiple student organizations and campus departments. 

  • Songfest: It's a night of music, dancing, costumes and most importantly, fun! Cheer on your favorite performance while they compete to see who will become the overall champion.
  • Pumpkin Run: Join runners/walkers for a fun journey through campus. Registration for this year's is open now. 

Mud Events: Gather some friends and get down and dirty with mud volleyball and mud tug-of-war.

Finals Frenzy: Finals Frenzy is a week-long series of events geared toward alleviating stress, distracting from the pressure of exams and altogether giving a positive kick start to finals week. Departments and student organizations have come together to offer a wide array of events and services to help you through all the obstacles that finals may bring.

Greek Life: 成人头条 State is home to that are full of tradition, brotherhood/sisterhood and pride. Our members proudly represent at WSU athletic events, hold leadership positions in numerous student organizations and carry out some of the top fundraising events at WSU.

Athletics: 成人头条 State is home to some of the best athletic teams in the nation, and is the place for information on your favorite teams. Check the Go Shockers website for schedules, rosters and events. Remember, tickets are free for students!

Registered Student Organizations: Involvement at 成人头条 State means engaging in that provide opportunities to interact with other students, faculty and staff. Getting involved in campus life includes participating in student clubs and organizations. With more than 200 diverse student clubs, there's no doubt that you can build an unforgettable experience as a Shocker! If you cannot find a student organization that meets your interests, you can always start one of your own. 

  • Shocker Maniacs: Shocker Maniacs is the official student fan club and student section of 成人头条 State Athletics. They reward those who attend athletic events with prizes and exclusive access.
  • Community Service Board: Community Service Board provides opportunities to help in the community by volunteering and participating in philanthropy events.
  • Nerd Union: Nerd Union is a student group formed in order to celebrate the ever-growing nerd culture that is developing in society. Members meet to discuss various aspects of nerd culture, meet new people/develop their social network and relax together.

Fine Arts: 成人头条 State is one of the most in the nation. Tickets to plays and performances are always free for students, and can be picked up from the main box office of the Duerksen Fine Arts Center.

Ulrich Museum of Art: The at 成人头条 connects viewers with artists and artworks that reflect our world today. Visitors can explore and enjoy 20th- and 21st-century art that often newly considers established traditions and develops fresh creative paradigms. The WSU campus is home to the Ulrich Museum's renowned 76-piece Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection, rated one of the top collections of its kind.

Hippodrome: , WSU's oldest campus tradition, is a week-long event filled with skit competitions and special attractions. It's a great way for students to showcase their skills and talents, while having fun.

Empty Bowls Chili-Cookoff: View hundreds of handmade bowls and sample almost as much chili. In exchange for a $20 donation, guests can choose a bowl to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. This fundraiser benefits the Kansas Food Bank in honor of Hunger Awareness Month, and is hosted at Henrion Hall.

Holi Festival: The Hindu festival of marks the beginning of spring and the passing of winter every year. Taking place mainly in India and Nepal, people of all ages and backgrounds take to the streets to celebrate this colorful festival. Every nook and corner presents a colorful sight. The same air of celebratory fun and friendship can be felt at 成人头条 State. The color, noise and entertainment that accompanies the celebration of Holi will bear witness to a feeling of oneness and sense of brotherhood.

InterFest: Every semester, the International Student Union (ISU), in collaboration with several other student groups and organizations at WSU, organizes an international food festival called . During this festival, international students prepare dishes from their native countries. The festival showcases ethnic cuisine, and for a small price, allows the WSU community and visitors to share and taste diverse food and delicacies.

Academic Convocation: The 2nd Annual will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 14 in Wilner Auditorium. This exciting event blends our WSU Reads program with other student learning and engagement opportunities. Faculty awards will be recognized and the event will feature a student speaker and a keynote address.
