The holidays are all about longtime traditions and so is the WSU School of Music annual candlelight concert. For 46 years, the school鈥檚 choral department has presented its choirs and singers for a joyous jump into the season.
Now in its 47th year, the Candlelight Christmas Concert will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, and at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, in Wiedemann Recital Hall. The concert will feature the WSU A Cappella Choir, Women's Choir, Chamber Singers and Madrigal Singers.
Tom Wine, director of choirs and professor of music education, also invited as special guests the 成人头条 Chamber Chorale under the direction of Robert Glasmann, WSU associate professor. In addition, the concert will showcase seasonal music on the famous Marcussen organ.The program also will feature students from the WSU brass, string and percussion studios in several selections with the choirs.
The concert will close with the traditional 鈥淧ersonent Hodie鈥 that fills Wiedemann Hall in surround sound with voices, brass and percussion in what has become a true holiday tradition.
