National Tap Kids tour group coming to 成人头条

A group of teens from New York City will tap their way into 成人头条ns鈥 hearts when 成人头条 brings in the Tap Kids at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in Century II Concert Hall, downtown 成人头条.

It鈥檚 a Connoisseur Series presentation of the College of Fine Arts and School of Performing Arts Dance Program.

Youth and athleticism collide onstage when eight of the nation's most talented young tap dancers take to the stage in this rousing, joyous celebration of American youth culture.

Since its debut at The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in 2002, the show has enjoyed tremendous success across the country and abroad.

The program will delight young and old with exhilarating rhythms and flying feet, said Nick Johnson, WSU director of dance.
The Tap Kids have twice traveled south of the border to Mexico, most recently to headline four Mexican cities at the Tamaulipas International Festival.

They were featured performers in a star-studded gala for the Queen of Holland at The Royale Theatre Carre in Amsterdam and returned to Europe in November for a three-week tour of The Netherlands.

In a series of musical vignettes the Tap Kids tell the story of a group of high school students facing challenges both mundane and momentous as they prepare for the big school dance at the end of the day and, ultimately, for graduation at the end of their senior year.

With an original score by Philip Stern and choreography by Lisa Hopkins, the Tap Kids take this traditional dance form to new heights in an electrifying performance that is hip, contemporary and uplifting.
