WSU College of Education to host Advanced Placement Summer Institute

成人头条 will host an Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI) from June 19-22, at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex and 成人头条 North High School.

The AP Summer Institutes are subject-specific professional development opportunities. They provide teachers with the support and training needed to teach AP courses and to utilize Pre-AP teaching strategies. Teachers from around the world come together at these institutes to exchange ideas and information about AP courses and exams.

The WSU Advanced Placement Summer Institute meets a need for the 成人头条 metropolitan area and region for schools and districts facing limited funds for training and travel. Area high school teachers and administrators have expressed high interest in the institute and look forward to continuation and expansion in the future.

Training sessions for advanced placement courses in English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, U.S. History, Calculus AB and Chemistry are offered at the WSU Institute. Additionally, three hours of optional graduate credit are available for participants interested in completing additional course requirements.

Last September the College Board authorized WSU to host an APSI through the joint efforts of the WSU College Readiness Partnership Initiative, the College of Education and the Office for Workforce, Professional and Communication Education.
