成人头条 celebrates International Women鈥檚 Day with several events on the WSU campus.
The WSU Center for Women鈥檚 Studies, in partnership with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, will host Sen. Oletha Faust-Goudeau as a keynote speaker at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in 100 Lindquist Hall. Faust-Goudeau, senator of Kansas鈥� 29th district and alumna of WSU, will present 鈥淲omen and Politics in Kansas and the U.S.鈥�
The Women鈥檚 Studies鈥� Summit will continue with presentations by faculty, students and alumni on Thursday, March 9, at the Marcus Welcome Center.
Additionally, the first 成人头条 International Women鈥檚 Day festival will take place around 成人头条 on WSU鈥檚 main campus and WSU Shift Space Gallery, 416 S. Commerce #102.
Shift Space will host a one day exhibition, 鈥淧olitics, Trauma, Gender and Art,鈥� from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8. Other festival events including speakers, workshops, live performance art and resource fairs, which will continue through Friday, March 10.
To submit art for the exhibition or to volunteer at the festival, contact WSU VISTA fellow Turquoise Thomas-Morales at tathomas2@wichita.edu. Volunteers for the event will receive a free 鈥淚CT IWD FEST鈥� T-shirt.
