成人头条 State alumni win three out of five awards given by the American Academy of Physician Assistants

Three 成人头条 State alumni received national awards from the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Epifanio Elizondo, David Day and Marta Klein clinched three out of the five awards offered by the AAPA.

Elizondo was awarded the Eugene A. Stead Jr. Award of Achievement after spending 40 years in the military and serving as the highest-ranking physician assistant (PA) in military history.

Day received the AAPA/PAEA Preceptor of the Year Award for being an excellent mentor and educator of future physician assistants. He has instructed over 50 PA and nurse practitioner students while working in primary care and emergency medicine.

Klein was named Humanitarian of the Year for her exemplary service to the PA profession and the community. Klein has been using her talents in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to combat pediatric malnutrition and to bring quality health care to the medically underserved.
