成人头条 State Symphony Orchestra spotlights faculty violin soloist Betul Soykan

The 成人头条 State Symphony Orchestra is bringing Betul Soykan, assistant professor of violin, to their stage this fall. Soykan will be spotlighted as a soloist at the first concert of their 2017-2018 season.

Soykan, a second year professor at WSU, currently serves as a member of the Fairmount Piano Quartet, and holds four degrees in Violin Performance and String Pedagogy. She has performed solo and chamber music recitals in many of the prestigious halls around the world. Learn more about Soykan鈥檚 accomplishments at .

Soykan will feature music by Johannes Brahms, Anton Webern and John Corigliano, and will fill the evening with both classical music and work inspired by the film 鈥淭he Red Violin.鈥 Mark Laycock, professor of music at WSU, will lead the performance.

The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in Miller Concert Hall. Tickets can be purchased through the Fine Arts Box Office at .
