Nov 19, 2008 — By WSU News Services — The ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ State volleyball team received 890 points in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll released Oct. 27 and is 10th in the poll. It is the highest ranking in school history surpassing the previous high of 12th that WSU was ranked in last week’s poll.

WSU sophomore Mike Staab said participating in Kansas BEST when he was in high school got him excited about engineering as a career field.

Oct 27, 2008 — Shae West — Kansas BEST, an annual robotics competition held at ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, is bringing hundreds of high school students to campus each year.

Oct 24, 2008 — By WSU News Services — ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ State faculty member Tom Frye was featured in an Oct. 24 story in The ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ Eagle about a play he's helping put on at WSU in collaboration with two former high school students.

The DHC Bowling Trio, a group of bowlers from Japan, visited and worked out with the Shocker bowling team. Their experiences will be documented on a Japanese TV special.

Nov 4, 2008 — By Jennifer Wright — The DHC Bowling Girls - a group of bowlers from Japan - practiced, worked out and studied with the Shockers and filmed their experiences at WSU for a television show to be aired in Japan.
