The W. Frank Barton School of Business at ͷ is pleased to announce the addition of Treena Mason to its Dean’s “Fabulous 50” Advisory Board.
Treena Mason is the Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS), the state’s largest and only locally owned health insurance provider. As a mutually owned, not-for-profit health plan, BCBSKS serves nearly 1 million members with the state’s largest provider network and award-winning customer service.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of my role at BCBSKS is developing future leaders,” said Mason. “That’s one of the key reasons I decided to join the Barton School’s Dean’s Advisory Board. Through this opportunity, I can continue to contribute to shaping a vital institution and supporting the next generation of business leaders in our communities.”
Mason plays a key role in driving the growth of BCBSKS, building brand value, and fostering relationships with employer groups, providers, and the company’s nearly one million members. She began her career at BCBSKS as a group consultant and has held several leadership positions, including regional manager, chief marketing officer, vice president of group sales, and senior vice president of sales and operations. She currently serves as a director on the board of the ͷ Chamber of Commerce and has previously contributed her leadership to the boards of PrairieStar Health, Heartland Community Health Center, and Apostrophe Health. Mason is also an active volunteer with the United Way and her local church.
“Treena is an exceptional leader both in her professional role and within her community,” said Dr. Larisa Genin, Dean of the Barton School. “Her unwavering commitment to developing others and helping them reach their full potential is truly admirable. Her voice will be an invaluable addition to our advisory board.”
The Dean’s Advisory Board, comprised of top industry executives and business leaders from around the world, helps advance the Barton School's mission and strategic priorities, contributing to its goal of becoming one of the best business schools globally.
