The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 成人头条 has announced the hiring of three new faculty members within the college. These new members of the Barton team will bring a wide breadth of industry knowledge and innovative research to their department.
鈥淥ur new faculty members bring strong academic and applied learning backgrounds that make them a great fit for the Barton School,鈥 said Dr. Larisa Genin, Dean of the Barton School. 鈥淭heir interests and expertise in business analytics and IT innovation will be a great asset to the college and our students looking to propel our world forward.鈥
Meet the newest Barton faculty:
Mohammad Najjar
Assistant Professor, Management Information Systems
Najjar joins the Barton School after eight years of teaching experience and five years of practical experience in systems analysis and development. His research interests include in information systems services, information management, data monetization, information assurance and IT-enabled innovation adoption. Najjar鈥檚 research has been published in the European Journal of Information Systems, MIS Quarterly Executive and Information Technology & People. He received his doctorate in MIS from the University of Memphis.
Justin Keeler
Clinical Associate Professor, Business Analytics
Before joining the world of academia, Keeler spent 15 years in corporate analytics and finance leadership as well as small business ownership. Along with his business background, Keeler has expertise in statistics and coding (R and Python). As an associate professor, he works to help students analyze the story of data patterns to solve problems with practical and informed decisions. His research specialties include decision-making, machine learning, and sentiment analysis, with a particular focus on remote work dynamics and user-technology interfaces. Keeler earned his doctorate in Management from Oklahoma State University.
Murtaza Nasir
Assistant Professor, Business Analytics
As a former manager and entrepreneur in various industries, Nasir is a proponent of application and theory when it comes to academics. His research interests are in machine learning and data mining particularly in the areas of healthcare, finance and operational predictive and prescriptive analytics. His work has received regional and national awards from Decision Sciences Institute, Northeast Decision Sciences Institute and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences. Nasir has been published in many industry-leading journals. He received his doctorate in Management Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
