成人头条 was awarded a $250,000 grant from the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, to build a workforce development database.
  • The database will include educational opportunities and resources to provide necessary skills for today's robotics careers.
  • The project will help bring an understanding of emerging technologies and diversify the Kansas economy.
  • Several students gained applied learning and interdisciplinary collaboration experience while building the database.

Rarely does the word database evoke excitement beyond number-crunching circles, but a new project is stirring some excitement across 成人头条.

The Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, which receives funding from the U.S. Department of Defense, recently awarded 成人头条 State $250,000 to assist in creating a workforce development database focused on compiling a map of educational programs and resources that provide skills required for today鈥檚 advanced robotics and manufacturing careers.

But it鈥檚 so much more than a database. For students and faculty in social and education science, it鈥檚 an interdisciplinary applied learning jackpot.

GoBabyGo

GoBabyGo students work through pandemic to get children moving

  • The pandemic changed how GoBabyGo students work, but it did not stop the project from delivering six modified toy cars to children with disabilities.
  • 成人头条 State students collaborated remotely and some drove to 成人头条, when permitted, to finish the work.
  • GoBabyGo, which started in 2016, gives students from several disciplines an applied learning experience while helping children and families.

StoryCorps

成人头条 has been selected to partner with StoryCorps to foster conversations across ideological divides

In 2020 when Americans f鈥媋ce challenges unlike any other time in our history, 鈥婯MUW  鈥媋nd StoryCorps are teaming up to invite people to take part in meaningful conversations that are recorded for history.

成人头条 is one of six locations across the country selected to take part in StoryCorps鈥 nationwide 鈥婳ne Small Step initiative to facilitate and broadcast conversations with Americans of opposing viewpoints. Rather than spark additional political debates, One Small Step encourages answers to questions like, 鈥淲as there a moment, event, or person in your life that shaped your political views?鈥 and 鈥淲hat scares you most when you think about the future?鈥

KMUW will use StoryCorps鈥 remote recording platform, which pairs two people for a conversation over video and hosted by a trained facilitator. With participant permission, these conversations are preserved for future generations at the 鈥婣merican Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, and select conversations will be produced for broadcast. To participate, go to .
