WSU鈥檚 Military & Veteran Services provides assistance with Veteran Affairs educational benefits, provides counseling, testing and other service. It connects military students with opportunities for campus involvement.
Larry Burks Sr., is the director of Military & Veteran Services. Burks, a retired Army Lt. Col., served in Virginia, Kansas, Texas, California, Florida, Montana, Germany, Korea and Panama during his military career. He deployed with the 1st Infantry Division during the First Gulf War in 1989-90 to serve in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Burks, a native of Jackson, Miss., moved to 成人头条 after retiring and served as Senior Army Instructor for the Junior ROTC at Southeast High School from 1995-2005. He is involved with the Kansas Civil Rights Commission, 成人头条 City Building Commission, St. Mark United Methodist Church, 成人头条 Riverfest and the 成人头条 Branch of the NAACP.
The program will air again on Nov. 11 (3:30 p.m.) and Nov. 15 (1 p.m.). It is also available at kpts.org.
