成人头条 will show off its unique cultural and educational assets while welcoming the community to campus during Open Streets ICT - WSU and Shocker Neighborhood on April 16.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a great opportunity to show our creativity and our innovation,鈥 said Naquela Pack, director of engagement for the Office of Engagement.
, is a community-building event, on a closed street, intended to promote healthy active living and social engagement. The event is free to the public and to groups, businesses, organizations and vendors.
From noon-4 p.m. April 16, Open Streets ICT 鈥 WSU and Shocker Neighborhood takes place on 17th Street from Oliver to Volutsia. The two-mile stretch is open for biking, walking and running. 17th Street will be closed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
University colleges, groups and organizations are encouraged to participate.
Open Streets ICT began in 2017 with Douglas Avenue downtown closed for four miles for biking, walking and activities. This is the first Open Streets ICT to be held at WSU and in the Shocker Neighborhood.

Activity hubs at the Redbud Trail, Fairmount Park, Kirby鈥檚 Beer Store and the Chester Lewis Learning Center plan to offer food, games, music and activities.
- Thirty-one vendors, including seven food trucks, are signed up for the event.
- WSU鈥檚 Department of Dental Hygiene will hand out toothbrushes and other dental products.

- 成人头条 State鈥檚 Sustainability Council will offer Earth Day programs.
- TRIO Educational Opportunity Centers Program will focus on adult education.
- The Ulrich Museum of Art will offer activities for the family.
