School of Performing Arts / Theatre to perform ‘The Search'
The WSU School of Performing Arts / Theatre will perform “The Search” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, to Saturday, Sept. 29, and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30, in Welsbacher Theatre, Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 29th and Oliver, Entrance F.
Tickets are $15 general public, $12 military / senior citiznes, faculty and staff and $10 for students. Admission is free for students with a WSU ID. Seating limited. For tickets, go to free ticket or call 978-3233.
“The Search,” by Elizabeth Crino, is a story of three roommates -- Ted, Sarah and Beth who one day realize that their fourth roommate, Ned, has gone missing. However, they come to find that none of them even liked Ned to begin with and feel it would be best to just forget about him. As the story progresses, the three roommates dodge any sort of evidence of his whereabouts and choose to be blissfully ignorant about the situation so they can live a “Ned-less” life.
Crino is the winner of the WSU Theatre National Playwriting Competition. Elizabeth's other plays include “Pen and Paper and the Presentation.”
“The Search” is part of the theatre program's student produced Second Stage series. In this series, students are responsible for all aspects of the production including show choice, design work, technical direction, construction, direction, acting and promotion. Through this applied learning experience, students pursuing careers in the fields of art and entertainment have the opportunity to learn hands on how to take a show from conception to completion.
Have you been to student (office) hours yet? No seriously, have you?
If your answer is no, take the opportunity this week to visit at least one of your professors in their office during their student (office) hours. Most semesters, only a handful of students actually use this as an opportunity to get to know their professors. We promise, they're real people just like you! Who knows, perhaps you will gain an advisor or mentor or get the answer to your questions from page 394 of your text. If you aren't sure what to say to your professors, check out this online resource.

- Get help with your survey design, methodology and survey questions.
- Access to on campus survey experts to optimize your survey and response rate.
- Be certain that you are obtaining the best survey sample for your survey.
- Reducing survey fatigue as we can create reduced samples that more approximately target your survey population.
- Ensure that you get accurate email lists of students, staff and faculty for your survey.
- Help protect the emails of faculty, staff and students.
- Know that who answers your survey is who you want answering your survey.
- Provide analytics on your surveys and results.
