Sign up for biometric screenings

Biometric screenings

There are fewer than 20 spots still available for biometric screening on Aug. 2. Sign up today at (click Step 2 in the top row of images, then the calendar icon to open the scheduling portal). If you don't see any available times, use the date drop-down menu to select "Resource 2" to see additional appointments that were added in August, September and October.

On-campus biometric screenings are a popular way to easily earn HealthQuest Rewards points and HRA/HSA contributions without having to leave campus. A few simple tests are run, and results are available when you leave.

Each attendee earns 5 points just for attending. When you meet the ideal ranges for blood pressure, glucose or total cholesterol, you earn 6 points for each category. That's a maximum possible 23 points from one event.

For additional information, including off-campus screening options, please visit the .

The remaining 2018 Biometric Screening dates are:
Aug. 21, 142 RSC
Sept.18, 261 RSC

Daily website update

The WSU naming units feature has been restored to the Visual Standards website. You can sort lockups by college or division or see a large alphabetical listing. Clicking a link downloads a zip file of all image formats.

We continue to see improvement in all areas of the site and the work being done by our editors is a big reason why. We're seeing a slow down in support ticket volume but want to stress -- on a site with more than 15,000 page, we can't see everything. If you run into something that's not displaying right or isn't working correctly, let us know about it using the Web Support form linked in the footer on every page or by typing in wichita.edu/websupport

The web support site has handled 191 support tickets to date with an average time to completion at 2.8 hours.

Remember that there are come-and-go open lab sessions on the schedule for 3-5 p.m. Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Friday this week.

Tip of the Day: Accessibility Checker

When you publish a page, the accessibility checker looks for problems and tells you where to correct them. Here's a video primer on how to deal with "header nesting" a widespread accessibility problem on migrated pages.
