Baseball season tickets are now available



成人头条 State baseball season tickets are available for faculty and staff to purchase for the 2020 season. The schedule will be announced at a later date, but conference home series include Tulane, Cincinnati, USF and UConn.

By purchasing or renewing season tickets early, fans have the opportunity to win a special prize for each day of June.

Prizes include Shocker Store gift cards, season tickets to volleyball, women鈥檚 basketball and softball, tickets to a men鈥檚 basketball game, a skybox for a baseball game and autographed memorabilia by new head coach Eric Wedge.

Everyone who purchases baseball season tickets on that day will be entered into a drawing for that day鈥檚 prize.

To purchase tickets, fans can buy them online at or by calling (316-978-FANS) or visiting the Shocker Ticket Office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Shockin' Fun Friday canceled

The faculty / staff event Shockin鈥 Fun Friday that was originally scheduled for Friday, May 31, has been canceled. With constant rain and weather conditions that do not seem to be cooperating this year, there is concern that it will simply be too wet in the location. More information will follow if the event is eventually rescheduled.


Apply now for Volunteer Service to America (VISTA)

AmeriCorps VISTA members have a mission to bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific project at a nonprofit agency. They focus their efforts to build the organizational, promotional and/or financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and assist low-income communities.

RSVP for 'Designing and Validating Prototypes' presentation 

As part of GoCreate and Strategic Initiatives鈥 IDEA series 3 p.m. June 6, in the Experiential Engineering Building, Jeswin Joseph will present on 鈥淒esigning and Validating Prototypes.鈥 In the first part of the presentation, Joseph will discuss the process of designing and validating. During the second half of the session, Joseph will tour participants through the NIAR labs to discuss capabilities offered at NIAR.

Weekly briefings on hiatus until August

WSU's weekly briefings, normally held at 10 a.m. every Thursday, will not be held over the summer break. They will resume on a weekly schedule in August.

Registration open for Win the Day walking sessions

Win the Day

Registration is open for Win the Day walking sessions, a 12-week health and fitness series 鈥 geared toward residents of the neighborhoods hugging WSU.

The sessions start with a kickoff at 3 p.m. June 1, at the Boys and Girls Club, 2400 N. Opportunity Drive. Led by local fitness instructor Denise Colborn, Win the Day is a partnership of Shocker Neighborhood Coalition, WSU Public Policy and Management Center, City of 成人头条 Park and Recreation and Denise Colborn Fitness. Funding for the fitness series is provided by a grant from the Kansas Health Foundation.

Beginning June 4, fitness walking classes will meet four times a week at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The walking sessions will begin at Koch Arena. All are invited.
