EFC hosts Asthma Financing Webinar Series

Asthma Financing Webinar Series

In-home asthma care has proven to reduce symptom days and health care costs, yet these services are rarely covered by insurance providers or Medicaid. The Environmental Finance Center’s (EFC) summer / fall webinar series will address how community health workers and policy makers can work together to reduce the financial and health burden of asthma care in the community.

The first webinar is “Financing Innovations in Asthma” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, featuring Ruth Ann Norton, president and CEO of The Green and Healthy Homes Initiative, and a leading national expert on healthy housing. Registration information for the free webinar is available below.

Norton will share how her organization has pioneered asthma care financing strategies across the country. She'll also address how local community health organizations can improve financing options, and share her advice on what works, and what doesn't.
