Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 at NCAT July 22
U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran invites you to join him and NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine for a celebration of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, and a discussion on our 鈥淣ext Giant Leap鈥 from 10:30 a.m.-noon Monday, July 22, at the National Center for Aviation Training, 4004 N. Webb Road. .
The event will include a NASA video premiere, remarks from Moran and Bridenstine, and a panel on getting back to the moon addressing topics such as STEM and workforce initiatives.
The event is hosted by 成人头条 in partnership with WSU Tech and the Cosmosphere. There will be an area reserved for space-related displays. Email ksharkey@niar.wichita.edu to reserve a spot.
Parking lots are being resurfaced east of Grace Wilkie and MRC
Parking lots 15 and 13 east of Grace Wilkie Hall and the Media Resources Center are being resurfaced this summer. The estimated completion date is Aug. 8.
During this time, both lots will be closed, with the exception to delivery trucks that may make periodic stops to unload / load equipment.

Want to enroll in a badge course? Enrollment is now open for the fall semester. Apply, be admitted and enroll by Monday, Sept. 9, to be eligible for a scholarship for one course (fall semester only).
You can begin badge courses between Aug. 19-Nov. 19. All coursework must be completed by Dec. 5.

Chrome River basics
If you have any involvement with travel authorizations, travel reimbursements or Pcards (including but not limited to travelers, approvers, delegates, reconcilers, etc.), we strongly encourage you to attend Chrome River Basics. Topics will include transition to Chrome River schedule, training resources, approval tracking and live demonstrations of pre-approval, expense and Pcard reports.
Chrome River open labs
For hands on experience and step-by-step instructions, attend a Chrome River Basics - Open Lab beginning Monday, July 15.
Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of actual completed travel authorizations and/or travel reimbursements to enter into the Chrome River test environment. Test travel scenarios will also be available for those without travel to enter.
Chrome River Basics and open labs will be offered beginning July 15 (open labs for Pcard reconciliation will be offered beginning Tuesday, July 30).

Understanding the nuances of why people do what they do, what triggers their motivation to excel or causes them to put the brakes on directly affects your success as a leader. Learn how to direct and motivate employees with lasting results. This month's Managerial Psychology training will focus on understanding and applying psychology, dealing with defensive people and leading as a coach and counselor. John Belt will lead the training session from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. July 19. The cost is $299, with a 40% discount for WSU faculty, staff and students. Some restrictions apply. where students learn budgeting and real-life skills. GoCreate is hosting the Meritrust
Reality Store class, set for 1-2 p.m. Aug. 1.
Kansas Prevention Conference set for October
The Prevention Initiatives team will be hosting the 2nd annual Kansas Prevention Conference Oct. 1-3, at the 成人头条 Hyatt Regency. The Kansas Prevention Conference hosts state and local professionals from the substance abuse prevention field and related disciplines.
