Amanda Schmalzried
Amanda Schmalzried is the 2024 winner of the Bela Kiralyfalvi National Student Playwriting Competition with her play, The Angel of Death, which will be presented as a staged reading March 27th - 29th, 2025 at the Welsbacher Theatre. Schmalzried is a current 成人头条 student, graduating in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts with an emphasis in Theatre and certificates in directing and filmmaking.
The Angel of Death is a provocative and disturbing play about Alicia, a tormented social worker. She is grappling with her powerlessness to help the children in her files when she encounters Damien, a demonic tempter. Seduced by his charm, she decides to continue her mother鈥檚 legacy as a serial killer.
