Cohen Honors Student Max Gosch Records Historical Evidence
Dr. Matt Howland, MA student Doug Kressly, and undergraduate students MJ Jacobs and Max Gosch visited Planeview Park in Southeast 成人头条 on Tuesday this week for a UAV survey investigating the archaeological remains of the historic neighborhood that once stood on the site. By taking hundreds of aerial photographs and stitching them together into a 3D model, the group was able to record evidence of historic features at the site and supplement the recent cultural resource management survey conducted at the site, directed by Dr. Crystal Dozier, Department of Anthropology.

Interest in Seeing the Film "Killers of the Flower Moon"? | Nov 15
The Cohen Honors College is sponsoring a film screening of the film 鈥淜illers of the
Flower Moon鈥 for Native American Heritage month in November.
鈥淎t the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became
some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans
immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted and stole as much
Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told
through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle
(Lily Gladstone), 鈥淜illers of the Flower Moon鈥 is an epic western crime saga, where
real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal. Also starring Robert De Niro and
Jesse Plemons, 鈥淜illers of the Flower Moon鈥 is directed by Academy Award winner Martin
Scorsese from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese, based on David Grann鈥檚
bestselling book.鈥 鈥 description taken from AppleTV+

Poem of the Week | Neighbors in October by
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow鈥檚 wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow鈥
