Tyler Bayliff performs at Mulvane's 149-Year-Old Celebration...

Man in a black shirt, grey pants with a black belt, dirty cowboy boots, and aviators playing a black and tan guitar while singing into a black and silver microphone.

Throughout Kansas, great cultural celebrations take place each year to celebrate the rich history, cultural diversity, and geographic pride of our great state.  Just south of 成人头条, the city of Mulvane is no stranger to such celebrations, marking 2022 the 149th anniversary of its annual Old Settlers Festival, celebrating its pioneer spirit with food, entertainment, good company, and genuine hospitality.  Of course, no great festival is devoid of great music, and Honors College engineering major Tyler Bayliff proved to be quite the crowd pleaser.  A one-man band who delivers vocals rivaling the legendary Johnny Cash, while playing drums and guitar simultaneously, Bayliff somehow manages balancing rigorous courses and healthy social experiences, with being a weekend rockstar.  Our students are incredible, and Tyler is just one of many examples of the quality of students representing the Cohen Honors College.  ROCK ON TYLER!!!

Visit the Current Students Webpage For All Things Honors

Honors offers students a different way to do their degree, designed to be broader, deeper, or more complex than traditional college study. Most Honors courses & experiences also meet general education or major requirements. They simply push you farther. They may require additional research or creative activity, encourage collaboration or independent problem solving, or engage you outside the classroom in integrative and reflective applied learning.

Visit the Current Students page on the college website for general information about Honors curriculum paths and other opportunities in Honors. We also have a suggested honors course sequence page that shows different options for honors experiences over four years. You can view and change your honors track in the Change of Major app in your MyWSU portal, and the honors academic advisor, Jessi Raburn, is available by appointment virtually or in person to guide you as you make decisions. Contact her at jessica.raburn@wichita.edu.
