Study Abroad Program Options
WSU has exchange partner universities around the world. Students can participate in a semester or year-long exchange program and pay their regular tuition and fees to WSU, which makes it an affordable option for students.
The MAUI Consortium allows students to study abroad at universities within Europe. Students can participate in semester or year-long programs at a MAUI institution and pay their regular tuition and fees to WSU, which makes it an affordable option for students.
The National Student Exchange allows students to study abroad at universities in Canada (and domestically). Students can participate in semester or year-long programs at an NSE institution and pay their regular tuition and fees to WSU. This is another affordable option for students.
If there is no exchange program, MAUI consortium institution or NSE institution that fits your interest for a semester or year-long program, then you can check out programs through an independent program provider. While these programs are not directly associated with WSU, they offer many study abroad opportunities in multiple countries that are excellent ways to study in another country and earn credit toward your degree.
Short-term/Summer programs include programs that are offered throughout the year and are between 1 and 8 weeks in length. This could be a January term (winter) program, summer program, spring break program and others. These programs are offered through many different options including exchange partner universities, WSU faculty-led programs, and independent program providers. There are several options that allow students to pay their regular tuition and fees.
