What was the best experience you had while being a buddy?
My favorite experience while being a buddy so far is being able to hang out with my buddy all of the time. I live close to campus and with my buddy living on campus, it is really easy to meet up. Since I don't live on campus, I never realized the amount of events that WSU holds. My buddy tells me every time there is an event and I love going with her. We have also done many things like going to museums, restaurants, and markets.

How have you benefited from the program?
I think the biggest benefit I gained from this program was making really good friends. My buddy is so nice and funny and I love hanging out with her. Not only did I meet her, but I met a lot of other people in the program and became friends with them. I am also able to keep up with my language studying as my buddy is from Japan. We both get to help each other learn each other's languages.
Why would you recommend this program to other U.S students?
I would recommend this program because of all of the people you're able to meet. It also has given me a sense of purpose and fun outside of school and work. I have also learned so many things about other international buddy's culture while being a U.S. buddy. Learning about other's culture is really interesting and I get to learn something new every time I hang out with my new friends.
