Other students should consider studying abroad because it allows you to learn about other cultures by fully immersing yourself in them. You are able to interact with people who have different perspectives and backgrounds, which helps you to experience the lifestyles of those you are around.

What is one of your favorite memories from your time in South Africa?
My favorite memory in South Africa was going on the Garden Route after the conclusion of the academic term for the program. I got to go ziplining, whale-watching, and enjoyed a lengthy and beautiful safari. I also got to hug an elephant, which was probably one of the top 5 moments of my life.
How do you think your study abroad experience will benefit you in a future career?
I think that studying abroad will benefit my future career because it helped me gain more confidence when working with people from different cultures. I feel prepared to work with people who speak other languages and share different opinions because of this experience which is incredibly valuable.
