Back-to-school looks a little different at 成人头条 State. The first four weeks after returning to campus, students can expect a healthy mix of celebration and information aptly named "Welcomefest."
The full list of events is extensive, but the following are a few to bookmark for any student looking to get the most out of the beginning of the semester.
NXT LVL Garage Party
It's time to party! Any student with a myWSU ID is invited to rock the Rhatigan Student Center parking garage rooftop from 9 p.m. to midnight Friday, Aug. 19. Live music, food, and free shirts for the first 200 students will be provided via the event's co-sponsors: Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Division of Student Affairs, Facilities Services, Housing & Residence Life, International Education, RSC, Student Engagement, Advocacy & Leadership, and Del Norte Studio.
Back To School Bash
Keep the good vibes going the very next day with Shocker Nation's annual B2SB. Free food is provided starting at 5 p.m. in Shocker Hall by WSU Dining, Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes and Highland Dairy. Games on the RSC's east courtyard start at 7 p.m. and include bungee runs, velcro walls, a three-point shootout and more! Get there early because free B2SB shirts go fast.
Fairs and Tabling events
There are plenty of opportunities to get acquainted with 成人头条 State's wide variety of clubs, organizations and student resources during Welcomefest. Welcome Tables will be set up 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. both Monday, Aug. 22 and Tuesday, Aug. 23 on the RSC's north patio. The Involvement Fair takes place 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30 and includes organization tables from the RSC to Shocker Hall. Also, the Wellness Fair takes place 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 in Shocker Hall and will feature on-campus health and wellness organizations.

Clash of the Colleges
THE event of the semester. Clash of the Colleges is a competition to see who rules the school between 成人头条 State's six academic colleges decked out in their respective colors: Business (red), Applied Studies (blue), Engineering (green), Fine Arts (purple), Health Professions (orange) and Liberal Arts & Sciences (yellow).
New students who register by Wednesday, Aug. 24 can represent their college in the battle that includes team sports, relay races and more! The in-person Clash takes place 4 - 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at Cessna Stadium. There are also virtual games that include scavenger hunts, e-gaming, and more!
Root Beer Kegger
Ice-cold root beer and hot dogs are on the menu for this popular event hosted by the Shocker Career Accelerator. This is not only a great opportunity to relax with great food and drink, but to network with more than 30 employers and learn about the resources the Career Accelerator offers to students. This event is 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at Hubbard Hall.
