I took the course "Building Remarkable Teams," where my group developed a nonprofit organization to raise funds for local animal shelters. We also created social media accounts to share educational content. Although the class has ended, I have continued the project on my own, trying to make daily posts on our Instagram and TikTok accounts. Through my marketing and networking efforts I have gained over 2,000 followers on all platforms combined. When the weather gets nicer again, I will continue to host pup cup events at local dog parks.

One of my mentors is Ricardo, a former store manager. He taught me to believe in myself and have confidence in my decisions. He encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things, while always making me feel supported and valued. His guidance has been instrumental in helping me grow as a leader. My parents have also been incredible mentors to me. My mom is always there to listen and provide valuable feedback, and she's the first to tell me how proud she is of me. I really look up to my dad鈥攈e frequently shares leadership videos and lessons, and he鈥檚 the kind of leader I aspire to become. They鈥檙e both constantly there to support and guide me, and I wouldn鈥檛 be where I am today without them.
