Completing my undergraduate degree debt-free was a major goal when looking for a college. Not only did 成人头条 State and the Barton School of Business afford me this opportunity through scholarships, but the school provided a multitude of resources through which I could pursue other opportunities as well. I鈥檝e had the ability to make connections, participate in research, study abroad, and gain invaluable career experience through a number of internships.
Being nominated and selected for the 25 under 25 award is a great honor! My time in the Barton School has been rewarding and I am extremely thankful for the fantastic professors, faculty, and fellow classmates who have made my journey here an incredible experience.
Take the time to explore your interests. When you enter college, you might have an idea of what you want to pursue. As someone who explored a number of majors before landing on Economics, I can say that investigating your options is definitely worth it. Whether it be by participating in clubs, attending seminars, taking interesting-sounding classes, or chatting with professors, you can get a wide range of perspectives and really see what sparks your interest.
I鈥檝e had a number of amazing mentors that have helped to guide and support me throughout my personal and academic journey. First and foremost, my parents have been continual pillars in my life. While at 成人头条 State, I鈥檝e been incredibly thankful for the Economics Department. Dr. Cheng, Dr. Wolcutt, Professor Eilts, Professor Ojile, and especially Dr. Pelkowski have been huge helps in shaping my educational and career pursuits.
