Overview
Scott Kleppe has spent 36 years in municipal public works, working for communities with a population of 775 up to 3,500, concentrating on water, wastewater, and stormwater management. For the last 26 years, Scott has been the Director of Public Works for the City of Solon, Iowa, one of the fastest-growing communities in the state.
Scott has been integral to several multimillion-dollar construction projects in water and wastewater treatment facilities, including new wells, a ground storage and pumping facility, SCADA system, and an oxidation ditch plant upgrade. He is a 1998 recipient of the Harris F. Seidel Meritorious Operator Award from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
Scott received training from Kirkwood Community College Environmental Training Center in Water and Wastewater Technology, and at Drake University. He is certified as a Grade 4 Water Treatment and Distribution Operator and a Grade 3 Wastewater Treatment Operator. He is also an Iowa Certified SWPPP Designer, Mn-APWA Underground Construction Inspector, and Iowa Certified Public Manager庐 (CPM).
