Overview
Irving Aguirre is a seasoned recording engineer specializing in the capture of live acoustic music, particularly classical and jazz, and providing premier recording services both on-location and in the studio. He is also a skilled provider of sound for digital media and voice recording. As Assistant Professor and Program Director of Audio Production, and faculty sponsor of the student AES section at 成人头条, he is deeply committed to fostering the local and broader audio community.
Irving Aguirre holds a BS in Engineering Mathematics and Statistics with a minor in Music from UC Berkeley, and an MA in Audio Sciences, Recording and Production from The Johns Hopkins University Peabody Institute. His unique blend of scientific and artistic backgrounds forms the foundation of his technique and expertise in operating high-end equipment. His production approach is significantly influenced by his diverse musical experience, encompassing Andean music performance in Los Angeles, worship music leadership, exploration of rap and beat-making, classical guitar performance, Javanese Gamelan and Erhu studies, and oboe playing. Recent professional engagements include a scoring project at Warner Brothers, a project at Blackbird Studio, and an invitation to a project at Skywalker Sound.
Aguirre Audio provides high-end microphone rentals. To ensure his work remains at the cutting edge of audio technology, Irving integrates state-of-the-art equipment into the university's studios and undertakes projects that leverage emerging technologies. He also actively contributes to Audio Educator's Advisory Groups, providing expert feedback on forthcoming digital products. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys playing guitar, bass, and caj贸n at his church and is dedicated to helping others realize their recording aspirations.
