Overview
Jacie Green earned a masters degree in Aging Studies from 成人头条. She is honored to share her passion for older adults, online learning and teaching, and strives to improve knowledge and attitudes towards the older population through her work as a graduate advisor and educator. Jacie also serves as the graduate coordinator for both the Aging Studies and Health Administration graduate programs. She enjoys connecting with and helping students realize their true potential for their chosen profession.
Prior to this position, Jacie was a graduate student in the Aging Studies program at WSU and enjoyed her time as a SilverSneakers instructor for the ElDorado YMCA.
Information
Jacie enjoys collaborating on research to positively influence knowledge and attitudes towards older adults and aging. Through this research, Jacie strives to address ageism and improve expectations of aging and outcomes for the aging population. As an online educator, advisor, and program coordinator, Jacie is also committed to implementing best practices in online learning. She has completed the OLC (Online Learning Consortium) Online Teaching Certificate Program and has served as a faculty fellow for online learning at 成人头条 State.
Jacie teaches fully online undergraduate and graduate courses within the Aging Studies program. Current courses include: Introduction to Aging Studies, Sociology of Aging, and Perspectives on an Aging Society. Jacie also teaches a hybrid freshmen first year seminar, Connecting Generations, and administers the Administrator-in-Training (AIT) practicum for students interested in becoming Licensed Nursing Home Administrators in the state of Kansas.

Jacie actively engages with the older adult community in the 成人头条 region through her intergenerational program, Sharing Life Stories with Shockers. This initiative brings students together with residents at Catholic Care Center and Larksfield Place to capture their legacy. Connecting generations is Jacie's passion. She delights in bringing joy to local long-term care communities through partnerships with Andover elementary school class projects and her church life group. Additionally, Jacie has served with Senior Services of 成人头条 and the Alzheimer's Association.
